Fit Gear for the New Year

Being fit and healthy for myself and my family is always great motivation to workout and go running, but I’d be lying if I said that getting new gear to use doesn’t help. In the past year I’ve tried out some new items that I now cannot run without. Here’s the rundown!

1) Koss Fit Series

I received both the FitBuds and the FitClips to try. Koss’s female designers teamed up with Olympic gold medalist Dara Torres to design the Fit Series—designed for women, by women. Each came with three cushion sizes so that you can customize the fit. For the FitBuds, I preferred the small and the FitClips the medium. Once I found the right fit, I really loved using them while running. Another great feature is that they are sweat resistant so they don’t slip out—not adjusting my headphones every few minutes makes running even more enjoyable.

But maybe the best part is the sound you get from these headphones! The FitBuds are 33% smaller than anything that Koss has ever designed but you wouldn’t know it from the sound quality. If you want to get your hands on your own pair, you can find the Koss Fit Series {for only $29.99!) at  Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Walgreens, KMart and Sears. You can also find Koss on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.

2) BAMR Band

Made by my friend and fellow mama of two, Katie, I do not work out ever without this headband. It keeps my hair out of my face and it doesn’t move! A lot of bands say that they don’t slip but after a few wears inevitably they start to slip out of my hair, but my BAMR band has been well used and has not slipped. I need to buy more of these!

3) SpiBelt

I’m kind of obsessed with the SpiBelt. It looks tiny, but it can hold my phone, a key, and my id while I’m running. I haven’t taken it on a long run yet but I’m sure I could also fit a Gu in there too. I even wear this in the gym to hold my phone so I can listen to music.

These items have earned spots in my must-have collection. What’s your favorite running gear?
